As with all new events, 2009 will ROCK even more! With new ideas, concepts and taking all the hints and ideas from the rockers in 2007 we will ensure you a bigger, better more ROCKING 2009!

After two successful dances in Marshside, with the Scimitars providing the live music, it became obvious that a bigger venue was needed as demand for tickets was outstripping the space available in the current venue. There was also the added impetus of two other excellent, local bands looking for an opportunity to play a local gig for their ‘home’ fans. Marshside Rocks was born!
We wanted an indoor venue (to avoid the vagaries of the English summer) big enough to hold followers of all three bands but small enough to keep it ‘cosy.’ After a lengthy process of about an hour the Highstead Indoor Riding Centre has been appropriated for the purpose. This will hold 300+, has adequate parking and is easily accessible from the A299 and surrounding districts. We will be putting extra toilet facilities in place, three stages (a la Jools Holland), lighting, tables and chairs, a Real Ale bar and BBQ. Ticket holders will have the option of bringing their own food and picnic if they prefer. We will also be fitting a dance floor as this will definitely be a dancing occasion!
Marshside Rocks is neither a pop concert nor a music festival – it’s an old fashioned dance in a unique venue for people who appreciate live music and want a great evening out in good company.
